Frequency of Hamstring Tightness Among Undergraduate Doctor of Physical Therapy Students
Abstract: This clinical investigation evaluated the prevalence of hamstring muscle tightness, lumbar flexion restrictions, and associated posture alterations among undergraduate Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students. The findings highlighted significant sedentary-induced hamstring tightness, supporting early clinical intervention via targeted trigger point dry needling, IASTM, and active hamstring lengthening protocols.
Comparative Effectiveness of Trigger Point Dry Needling vs Cupping Therapy (Hijama) in Myofascial Lumbar Pain
Abstract: A comparative clinical evaluation assessing the immediate and short-term pain relief outcomes of trigger point dry needling versus traditional wet/dry cupping therapy in acute myofascial lumbar strain. Results demonstrated significant VAS pain score reduction and enhanced lumbar range of motion in both modalities when applied alongside manual joint mobilization.
